Thats what I assumed. Its just because I've bought an induction kit and then relaised "wait a minute, the might screw my warranty!" was also thinking of an exhaust and suspension too so I will ask Autocare then.
cool cool, it was just that my car still hjas a warranty on it for another year and a bit. wasnt sure becasue a lot of you guys have fairly new cars, presumably with a warranty and with mods to them.
just a thought... my car has an autocare warranty on it through arnold clark, will modifying it affect, if at all, any parts that are normally replaced under warranty, for example suspension?
stunning car... quite fancy a mark 1 myself too, but i dunno if getting an older car would suit the amount of miles i'm doing as most are high mileage by now i guess.
welcome too.
**53 FCD, blue 172 cup just pullin out the car park i was picking up my monaco blue 1.2, kinda gave you a "oooh i want one of those" looks, also followed you through Strathblane to mugdock a couple of weeks or so ago.
but would that not upset the warranty? the guy at the garage said it would only be replaced under warranty if the driveshafts were knocking too so i'm guessing they wouldnt do the job under warranty if it wasnt a renault part.
job's done now anyway so not much i can do about.
My mate jokingly pulled the handbrake on in a courtesy car for me as we were exiting a tesco carpark and a big bottle of stella conveniantly fell off the rear seat and smashed on some interior trim... car stunk of beer for a while
Lovely lookin 182 at Caledonian Court student halls at cali uni in glasgow, only started seeing it recently. watch out for my monaco blue 1.2 kiickin around there!
I've also just paid for my insurance renewasl which was £800ish and now need to get the timing belt done, unfortunatly before pay day, thank god for the bank of mum and dad.
had my car serviced this morning and the garage said it needs the near side CV gator replaced as its leaking fluid (so they'll also need to check the brakes for contamination), the new front tyre which was fitted three weeks ago was fitted the wrong way round (then how come it passed its mot a...
I got 41mpg on a trip to Fort William form Stirling on Sunday, sitting at circa 60-65mph, then my GF was caning it back down by Tyndrum. I usually get 35-37mpg on my daily commute between Buchlyvie and Glasgow, sometimes less than that depending on traffic. All in a 2001 1.2 16v.
gutted i missed it now! instead took my dad for a few laps of carron valley which was a blast, lost him for dead on the last one andbeat him by 15 minutes.
anyways, defo up for the next one, but sleepless in the saddle takes priority.
bikes in bits now, needs rebuilding in time for the...
got a bit bored so took the Sport for a quick blast through the hills, started in buchlyvie and took the back roads to aberfoyle via gartmore and then up the duke's pass to the car park at the top where i stopped for a while to admire the view then drove home....... nothing better than a good...
just out of curiosity, are you travelling 184 miles to see it, as thats what it says in the ad you posted?
looks like nice enough we car though, probably pretty quick too!
is it strange that i get the same fuel consumption as a 172 out of my 1.2? i get at the most 400 miles out of an 11 gallon tank which equates to 36mpg average! not worked it out exactly, thats just roughly!
I saw a 172 on ebay going for around 5k, seller said that he spent £1500 replacing the diff as its a common fault in the 172, is that correct as i havent heard anyone else mention that before?
