LOL, mini - just stick a f4r lump in there with boddies strapped on ( i know a fucked block thats for sale ;) )
or buy mats "uber cool" inlet and whack that on a f4r!
Hmm.
Maybe its best to clean what i can and repaint whats fucked.
The cam cover is painted in thick black paint, its peeling in places and the bolts are just covered so when they have been taken off its all broken round them etc. But I cant just wip the cam cover off to strip the paint off...
Cheers to Matt for the advice,
The car is booked in for tomorrow at Headshop uk for a full leaktown test, borescope check and compression test.
What should the compression be around 185? and all pretty much equal?
Pro alloy want £400
Seems a bit OTT, found a place in cardiff who can make me a custom job (out of brass and copper, but painted black/silver) for £200.
Or find a OEM rad that fits.
So my plan now is to get the block compression tested and if all is well.. then once all the other bits are sorted ill just take it to RST for a good map.
If the block is badgered then its new engine time!
Find out a week tomorow!
I've fixed the hunk of s**t :)
YEY!
Problems fixed today were,
Found the oil leak (3 places) First was the sump bolts were all loose :/ second was the oil filter had burst and had rust holes in it and the oil pressure sensor was not tight :/
Dropped the old oil out (what was left of it)...
Not sure, Last time tweeks did it, was £150 and was worse than it went it.
Ive been told to go to a place in warrington called system R, they have a good rep for setting CTR/Dc5's etc.. plus they have done a few clio's :)
