Thanks for the replies, although they just confirmed what i had feared, cant afford £250 for a new clutch and I dont have the ability/space to do it myself :(

Ok so my clutch is knackerd and am gonna get a new one from k-tec. Has anyone had a new clutch fitted to a MK1 recently? Am trying to find out roughly how much garages charge? I usually do things maself but ive herd horror stories about clutches and what a pain they are. Cheers, James

Alryt fellas, Ma sisters boyfriend jus filled his mk1 1.2 clio with some 97 from tesco. He has only ever used 95 prior to this. Now his down the street swearing because it keep cutting out on him LOL Is it the petrol, or just a mechanical failure?
