Mick do i need to remove the subframe to get the 172 manifold off ? ive undone the nuts but obviously theres no way to slide it out top or bottom as i cant get one bolt out of fitting kit ! if i i drop the subframe does the steering rack need supporting or summit ?

I'm struggling with this ! think i may need to take the subframe off !

Just been searching and i know people drop the subframe to get a 182 manifold. Will doing this allow me to get the 172 manifold out without trying to get the other bolt out the fitting kit ?

I removed the air con and alternator. Ive undone all the manifold nuts but i cant get one of the bolts on the fixing kit, with the springs out from the the flange! wil lthe engine and gearbox come out as one ?

I was looking at mine last night. removed two of the nuts and need to use a screwdriver to price the metal cover away to gain access to the other 2 nuts !

I may look at a re-map or i may just leave it slow & s**t :rasp: I havent bought the car yet its a meganne 120 dci. i want good MPG anyway

ahh rite, is it that they just advance the timing and fuel mixture ? I thought the price of them there likely to be rubbish. I remember my mate buying a capacitor of ebay claiming extra power and he phoned me saying his car was stuck reving !

Does anyone have a renault Diesel and Running a diesel chip box ? Do they actually work and give you alittle more power and MPG ? Let me know what your expreriances are on these ? Also there a wide range and price difference, are they all the same ? cheers Mike

Fred i dropped them of with steve at Birchdown. I took them off the car but i didnt have a press or anythink substancial to remove the old bushes at home so i gave him the complete arms with original bushes still in. My car is up on axle stands so i will go measure the distance between the two...

Ive had my lower wishbone sleeves tak welded and the bushes fiited but when ive come to fit them to the car there no where nere the righ position to line up with the subframe mounts. It looks to me tha the sleeve has not been welded further enough along as the bush it about 5mm away from the...

Ive just been doing a search and it looks like the sleeve has not been welded further enough out to the outside as the bush is not sitting close enough to the inside on the arm, theres atleast 5mm space between the bush and the inside of the arm.

Lee theres normally a main aerialconnection to the head unit. if your mate has already checked that i would try another aerial.
