I have some sparco seats , subframes and sidemounts.
I also have sparco 4 point harnesses.
The problem is i dont know where to bolt my harnesses.
I realise the rear of harness needs to be bolted where the rear bench was but where do i bolt the other two parts of the harnesses ?

Ive installed my Sparco F300 bucket seats, Sparco subframes and side mounts.
I have sparco harnesses aswell and there are 3 mounting bolts, one on left hand side of seat, one right hand side of seat and one which needs to be bolted underneath rear seats.
There is only one threaded section...
Managed to sort the rear wiper, traced loom back and noticed some green wires had snapped. still cant get the boot to lock though.
I put another bootlock surround and motor on which was 2nd hand of ebay but apparently works so still unsure !
Which part keeps the boot locked ? is it the magnet...
New TDC sensor fitted with new wiring loom.
awaiting stock of powerflex anti roll bar bushes before taking to demon tweeks for alignment.
Got afew more jobs to get done prior to taking for MOT.
Just fitted new boot lock motor, connected up and rear windscreen motor.
Boot lock is still not locking and rear windscreen wiper is moving !

ive fitted the dogbone bushes and move the engine mount abit more towards the front and seems to have more or less cured it. engine mount was in the fully back position so i dont know if the previous owner had had allok as i bought the car with the knocking on the exhaust
Under hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear i can hear which i think is possibly the exhaust knocking on the subframe.
If driven normally it doesnt happen so im thinking its excess movement.
Would i be best buying a KTEC uprated engine mount ? I which one would it be most likely the upper...
Ive just connected my windscreen washer motor and mechanisms back in place. Ive noticed only two out of the 3 stalks located on the scuttle panel only rotate.

how do you know when its aligned correctly ? i bolted the catch up but obviously when i closed it it wouldnt open, any way of knowing before closing the bonnet completely ? or purely trial and mainly error in my case !

Try your TDC sensor on top of the gearbox, mine doesnt like low revs and stalls if pulling off at low revs, ive tracked it back to the TDC sensor mate. see if you have black connectors going toi, theres a revised part with a blue connector. a common failure point
I' going to book my car in at Demon Tweeks on friday to have alignment done all round and camber set. i may see if they can fit my polyflex gearbox bushes while its on the ramps
Calipers refurbushed, new brake lines and brembo HC grooved discs all fitted, Just need to bleed the rear ass there is still air in the lines.
Car wouldnt start manged to pin point it to the TDC sensor after checking everythinkelse ! i cleaned up the connector blocks and it managed to fire up...
just removed the TDC sensor and cleaned up the connector block and hey presto its started up ! electrical fault light has gone but service light is on which um assuming is because its sensing the TDC sensor is not functioning correctly as its doesnt like low revs and stalls.

i reckon you need to buy the immobilser bypass kit which plugs into the diagnostic port, think they are £84> it does seem like an immobilser issue from what i hae read
Hi fred its just a standard 53 plate iceburg silver 172 . Its got electrical fault on dash and my diagnostic just gives speed sensor A fault so not totally sure if the means the TDC sensor, i have looked at the TDC sensor and its the old type with the black plug so i recko its the original one...
the plugs are brand new, the car has been stationary the last year while i i do work on it. it was fine 2 days ago and started. now i have a electrical faullt light on the dash. on my diagnostic machine it says PO500 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR A .
would the TDC sensor cause it not to start then ?

checked fuses, disconnected battery for an hour no joy ! just plugged diagnostic into it PO500 SPEED SENSOR A FAULT ? Is this why it wont start or is this a seperate issue ?
removed the immobiliser barrel and clicked it bak in but still have the electical fault and it wont start.
I also put the windscreen wiper motor and mecahnism back in and the wipers on.
