So it turn out Dolby Atmos (on the Samsung KW950) is phenomenal. Had a few teething issues getting things to work but a software update remedied these.
I'd definitely recommend this setup (though it is expensive) for those looking for a soundbar setup (that doesn't mind some wireless rear...
Soundbars have come a long way in a short period to a point now I'm now looking at replacing my 5.1 system with one (Primarily as the wife doesn't like the "clutter" of a 5.1 system). To get a good bar though it does look like you have to spend a good bit of money.
We're currently looking at...
The wee man got Splatoon 2 from his Nana which we've been a lot of since. Its a really simple game but its class. Bought the Pro controller also (Splatoon one obviously) and it does make a big difference.
Dirt 4 for your racing needs and Titanfall 2 for your shooter needs. Both really really good games. The Uncharted saga is definitely worth a pop as is The Last of Us.
Bought this a couple of weeks ago before our holidays and enjoying it so far. Though was halfway through the monthly challenge (12 stage event) and doing pretty well until I wrote the car off. Was bloody raging.
Nobody seems to play online though which is disappointing.
Uncharted really is awesome. I'm working my way through on Crushing difficulty (it's solid but satisfying) and trying to find all the collectibles.
Once done I'll be back into Titanfall 2 for another run at the SP.
Xbox One games are Xbox one games though, there is no specific X version or normal version? Your console will decide which "patch" it'll need.
I may have read it wrong. Its just like the Playstation model. You buy the game (Which will work on any PS4) and if you have a Pro, the Pro patch will...
The Pro is very much only a buy for those that don't have a PS4. I dont think the difference is enough to warrant the upgrade. I really hope that Star Wars has a really awesome SP as thats what was missing for the first.
I cannot wait to get a hold of Battlegrounds on the Xbox. Its awesome for...
If you dont already have a Wii U I'd say its worth it for Mario kart 8 alone. So much fun to be had on both local multiplayer and online multiplayer.
Not got Zelda yet as I think our little one is still too young for it (6 years old).
The Sony one looks to be a good choice. Looks like last years sorta flagship model (I find this method of buying to be best bang for buck) so will be an excellent choice for the X.
We have the Samsung UE55KS8000 and really do rate it (though speakers aint the best).
Bit of a bump but got this yesterday with the Pro (Wipeout collection is being CEX'd) and have to say its impressive. It looks absolutely gorgeous on our 55" 4K HDR tv. Like amazing. Just about to leave the embrace so not too far into it yet but so far so good.
Still not won over by the PS4...
The X is definitely a bit of kit. But there was nothing unveiled that wasn't known months ago. Why they let Eurogamer (Or whoever it was) in on the specs months ago to publish is beyond me. Took away from their E3 launch of it.
The hour long show can be watched in about 19 mins lol. So turns out that neither Sony or MS have that many exclusives and that the multi platformers stole the show for me. Putting doubt in my head now as to weather or not to buy a Pro.
If it had the 4k bluray drive then I'd buy it 100% but...
Bring on Nintendo at 5pm our time, though they don't do a presentation as such. Think its a 30 minute video from them.
Not watched the Sony conference yet but can't believe Sony are still trying to flog that dead horse that is Gran Turismo.
