i think he means the white gordini stripes over the bonnet/roof.
if im right then they should jut peel of with a bit of warm water/heat to loosed the vinyl backing glue.
then just a good wash with a shampoo/apc mix and a polish should be enough to bring the paint up around where the stickers...
nice, i wish i had got white but couldnt wait 3 months for one so had a black one out of the show room!!
looks so much better without the clio badge, silver tec indicator bulbs tidy the lights up too :-)
usual breathing mods like manifold back exhaust with decat, matched inlets, panel filter with caf and a remap will see some decent gains but its more in driverbility and response than in actual bhp gains, should be able to get the above done for about £1000 (cheaper with 2nd hand parts)
imo...
seen a few suspect welds on recent milteks but i had one on my golf a few years back and didnt have any issues....
guess it may have just been a bad batch???!!
as toby says, plenty of discs out there to choose from just not very many pads, my money would go on ferodo ds3000s but there not strictly legal on the road lol
standard for the rears should be fine as they do very little work!!
this is true, i stand corrected sir winston, its been a while since ive played with a mk1 or r5 tbh but always thought they had different bolt spacing/hub thicknesses!!
still a good idea to get hold of a valver for bits...
looking good and looking forward to seeing its shiny painted face next summer :-)
if the standard seats are mint, just use them and paint the wheels white so they tie in??!!
if the rsi is still on standard 14" wheels then your limited to just a disc and pad upgrade but if you get a set of 15" wheels off a 1.8 16v or williams then you can do a full front hub conversion so can use the bigger discs and calipers.
i would just do standard rsi rear disc/pad set up, 280mm...
Re: NW Rolling Road meet @ RS Tuning
will have to wait and see if im working, prob know the week before!!
if there is space on the day so be it, if not then ill just watch :-)
any of the cheap ones if your not after massive performance/adjustability (rokkor, k-tec/raceland, v-maxx) ect
pay a 10er and join up, you will be able to get in the parts for sale section, loads of bargins to be had in there.....
start by taking the sport badge off, new parcel shelf, standard gear knob, lower a touch, some 15" f1 alloys, silver visions, clear side repeaters then good clean and polish.
then maybe start thinking about a cup spoiler and colour coding....
eibach, bilstein or h&r if you want performance.
pi, spax, apex, fk, ect if you want to spend less than £100 but they are not as comfy on standard shocks...
you can get a perfectly decent shock and spring set for £250ish.
i can fit them for cheap too ;-)
