Well if you Google "Gmail Push" then the first set of results confirm that Gmail is Push via Google Sync.
From what I remember on my 3GS I added my mail account using the Gmail option and it worked fine, emails were getting pushed. I have done the same with the iPhone 4 iOS4 and it's not working.
Seems as the other threads(s) are so busy I want to keep this separate.
Setup my Google account on the phone but mail doesn't appear to be getting "pushed" to the phone. It only downloads emails when I actually go into mail.

You have to turn the feature on in the settings, go the the phone section in settings.

The thing is a lot of placed offer replacement only type service and not replacement as new like O2. I claimed twice on my O2 insurance and I got a brand new phone every time.
Anyone contacted O2 re iPhone insurance.
Its gone upto £15 per month and the excess policy has changed. Its £75 for your first claim. £100 for your second claim and £120 for a third. I presume that is within a year.

Smart arse lol. Luckily for me I hold the phone in my right hand so it doesn't really bother me but I have tested and it does drop if that left part of the phone is covered.
So the signal thing is an issue then. If I hold the phone in my left palm and cover the bottom corner, which naturally happens the signal drops to nothing after about 20 secs.
Everyone else the same???
Will be interesting to see what Apple have to say about it.
