yeah me neither, installed it on lots of different machines and the only time the pc was worth off after the reinstall I just tried again and all was well and still is.
After you install Xp make sure you install all the updates including SP2 before anything else.
if the cam belt is on too tight it will make a loud whining noise... you want to get that checked. Assume you have a warranty as you got it from a garage?

at standstill my old valver would be where that needle is in the pic. Running, the fan should not need to come on!
You haven't got air in it or any blockages have you?
i would advise against buying hardware on ebay... if you have something that's faulty you may find it impossible to exchange.
Faulty NEW motherboards are common!
pc world sell them... I know you'd get them cheaper online but you want to be careful... may have problems with delivery dates this close to xmas. Also it's easier to exchange it if there's a problem :)
OSX currently only runs on Apple hardware.
OSx86 will run on Mac's with Intel CPU's... apparently it can be hacked to run on non mac machines. Please note that we cannot discuss hacking on the forum.

Leather was an option.
The thing to look for is rusting rear arches.
The clutch can be a big expensive job so make sure you know when it was swapped... if it hasn't been then allow a £200 - £500 for having it replaced.
Check for leaks...

You know in IE how you have to open a whole new window if you want to view more than one site? In firefox you can open them all in the same window in tabs. To swap between them you click on the tab.
