Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I think the reason the powerflex ones fail is because there isn't enough give in them. If you don't drive "hard" they seem to last forever, those of us who drive a little more "spirited" seem to be having...

Cheers for that. Might just get myself a genuine one and stuff it full of tiger seal. That seems to be the preferred method now.

Looking good now. That powerflex bush, I fitted one to mine yesterday but I had to cut down the sides to get it to fit, can't work out if it's because my mount was non genuine (although it looks like it's...
One more picture to show Werkstat Acrylic Jett at work now that it's rained properly.
That's been washed twice since applying (with washing up liquid once :/ ) and I only applied one layer. Love the stuff.
Been meaning to post in here for weeks but haven't had the camera out to take some decent non phone pictures. Still haven't yet but here's a few of mine. I've had it 3 weeks and I'm loving it tbh.
Yeah I'll be going for cup shocks all round I think along with wishbones (although I'm led to believe that all of the later 172's had the cup wishbones anyway).
Also that reminds me that I need to sort the logbook. For some bizzare reason it's on there as a 172 Cup (was also advertised as one...
Good news that you've got all the missing parts. Looking forward to seeing this all finished, it's rare to see a petrol blue on the road, let alone see one absolutely fly past you with no effort!
Cheers! Not a patch on the work that's gone into yours but thanks.
The wheels are an absolute state, they've obviously had a cheap refurb at some point as the brake dust has eaten away at the paint and there is more silver underneath, just darker. It's pretty grim. Obviously whoever owned it...
Today I've done:
Handbrake cable
Oil and filter change
Brake fluid flush and bleed
Then washed it until it rained
Then about 5 mins ago I realised it was dry and nipped out to put some seriously needed tyre shine on
And anyone who says that sealant only sheets and doesn't bead well...

Ouch. Mine is sanding marks. The paint was done and blended well, just not sanded well. My bonnet is a state but my front bumper isn't too bad surprisingly.
Swapped the exhaust over today for an unsilenced K-Tec Stealth.
Old exhaust was completely rotten, holes everywhere also you can see my temporary bodge which held up well. Just a shame it was blowing from about 6 other places.
Literally held my knife about 6 inches above it and it stuck in...
