    E92 335i

Looks lovely. Glad to see you've sorted all the issues with it. Would love to own a car like that and you've definitely got the perfect colour combo. Only gripe I have is that the tyres need a higher profile imo. But I'm completely picking fault for the sake of it here lol.

I love my 182 - can't stop changing bits, only been 3 weeks of ownership!

Jesus I thought I was bad. I've owned my 172 3 weeks and so far including tax but excluding fuel and insurance I've spent £1087. Your list must be much more expensive than that.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Yeah they're morons. Absolute morons. They only showed up because we use them for a lot of deliveries and I told them we would categorically not be using them ever again. To be fair it wasn't our usual driver as he was off but he still managed to find it within 20 mins of my phone call...

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Yeah had a nightmare with them. Was due for delivery yesterday, and I was told it would be at my office before 7pm. Stayed there and it didn't show up, rang them and they said it'll be here today, kept checking tracking and at about 2pm it said they couldn't find the address (they apparently...

    Welshname's Monaco 172

I will eventually. Hopefully it'll be more feasible next year, but even so that would mean the Monaco is going and a ph1 replacing it...Unless I get attached to it.

My 6 miles takes just as long as your journey to work. Stop start traffic with ITB's when the engine barely gets warm is NOT my idea of fun.

On a daily? No chance. I'd rather SC it lol.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

I'm not that stupid. There's a packet of menthol filters under the filter to keep it off the ground :)

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Tonight I was going to attempt to replace the exhaust. But the bolts are completely shagged so I decided I couldn't be arsed and I'll do it at weekend. Instead I swapped the plugs, rear wiper and air filter. Old vs New Plug (they look like they've never been changed) Old vs New Air filter...

    Ford content.

Glad that's finally done. Know how much trouble you've had with trying to get it going. Still not been out in this yet :(

Make sure you buy a new one before selling anything on the current one. You might find you need it!

Yeah that's what I was thinking tbh. It'll do for now. I'll piss about with the headlights again next month.

    Colour change? On Monaco? Mental.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Only had it two weeks(ish) did the belts the weekend after I collected it as the invoice was very cheap and I didn't trust it, plus the PAS pump needed changing so Jon gave me the one off his ph1. Keeping it standardish for now. Got a Ktec Stealth arriving tomorrow and next month I'll be...

No worries. And thanks, I really can't wait until this weekend when all the big jobs are finally finished. Exhaust is pissing me off no end at the moment.

What have you done to your car today ???

Used the 3M kit on the headlights as they were minging. Massive improvement but still not 100% happy.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Got it from Amazon. linky And it's worth getting but like I said, I'm not 100% happy with the finish, needed a few more grades before polishing really to get all the fine scratches out. But it's a great start and the drill bit and pad is worth it imo.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

So my 3M kit arrived today so tonight I set about doing whatever I could with the headlights. Now the pictures don't show just how bad it was. eddie Jon.G and JoeyD will vouch for just how minging the drivers side was. So I masked it all up Then set about sanding it down Then...

Yeah I'll be continuing to bed them in as I drive more, as for the fluid that will be done this weekend. Tonight is headlight restoration :)

    Welshname's Monaco 172

I'm replacing it and I've got a new fitting kit so hopefully it won't be too bad. After that it's just little things that need doing

    Welshname's Monaco 172

Cheers. Just need to get the exhaust sorted now as that's the last thing that's really annoying me about the car. Headlight restoration kit should be here tomorrow so I'll probably give that a go after work.

    Welshname's Monaco 172

So I got the brakes done tonight, started with a few pictures then had no battery :(. Anyway... Started with the drivers rear side, couldn't get the carrier off the calliper so decided to just remove the whole thing from the hub and do it that way (didn't matter too much on this side as the...

    Welshname's Monaco 172

I know what you mean. I really want a ph1 but the climate, xenon's and ability to retro fit cruise control make the ph2 a better daily for me. I will own a ph1 eventually but only when having two cars becomes feasible for me. I was very close to buying a black one a month ago

Cheers. Picked it up about 2 weeks ago so not had it long. Your old one was one of the main reasons I started looking at Monacos

Thanks again George. Really lucky they turned up today as I'm pretty sure one of my front pads vacated the calliper on the way to work :/ nice steady drive home for me lol

    Welshname's Monaco 172

So, somehow George managed to get my brake order to me today which is very impressive so I'll be getting on with that tonight. I'll attempt to get some pictures :) Cheers G 172

    My Golf

Looks tidy enough. Can someone explain the stupid trend of smoothing the front number plate recess only to cable tie the plate to the grill for 360 days a year which ruins cooling and also makes it look goofy as f**k. All it seems to be in aid of is to w**k yourself silly at Ultimate Dubs etc...
