It's blue wheels for christ sake not a whale tail and 20" Amir Khans.
So far the Fisher Price "my first coilovers" have been replaced for proper ones and decent rubber has been added.
Re: E36 Track Day Hack (v2)
Great progress. Nice to see it all coming together after all the set backs you've had. Look forward to seeing it at Oulton on the 27th.
Did notice something sounds a little whiney on idle though, assume it's just PAS pump or Alternator?
Fluid level is fine. It was low when I got it (put that down to the fact there was literally no pad left) but since then its not moved.
Yeah I'll be taking it off tomorrow and greasing the sliders but I'll be looking to refurb them once I've been paid. I'll have a look around for seal kits...
Well as I suspected there is definitely a problem with the brakes.
Went for a drive earlier and the brakes are "OK". Had a moment with some bellend on the wrong side of the road and had to hit the brakes hard for a second until he realised and moved. When I did this the car pulled a little...
That really is lovely looking. The only thing that annoys me about the megs is how cluttered and untidy the bay looks with the engine cover off.
I think a black R26 will have to be my next car. Stunning things.
Blur is great when you get the hang of it. TheEvilGiraffe has taken some pretty good shots with it. You also have the option for manual exposure in advanced settings now.
I actually prefer the 182 seats. I think the white just breaks them up a little better. My 172 drivers seat is a mess, the alcantara top layer has all ripped so I'll be putting some in I think.
You going to be doing a paint correction on this? It's amazing how much cleaner black looks when...
If it's paint AND lacquer aren't you not supposed to flat the paint? You're only supposed to do the lacquer aren't you as otherwise you just sand out all the flake.
Looking really good now. Can't imagine how good it will be when it's had the wheels and paintwork seen to.
Did all E46's come with black armrests though? Surely it should be tan?
Looks lovely. I was sure this had an RS2 on it when Daniel got it.
Really? Mine has all the thumb grips intact and I don't find it TOO big. It's the right thickness too. I'd love a Sabelt tbh but I kind of want to keep the interior OEM.
Yep 100% do the auxbelt.
As far as changing it goes
Drain all the fluid out of the old pump and system (not entirely sure on the best method, I just ran the car with one of the hoses off and into a container and went from lock to lock a few times.)
There is 3 bolts on the front of the pulley...
