So yer i am not crazy or not man enough, took the car over to see @masekwm and he took it for a spin. Instantly told me it was far stiffer, can only imagine what he would of said if we went on some proper country roads! Went out in his car shortly after (sold on turbo and the diff tho) and it...
Well im not crazy! I went to see @masekwm and he took it for a little drive and instantly told me it was far stiffer then his car. Sure enough we went out in his car a little bit later and has a similar setup to mine and far comfier over the bumps, it actually absorbs them etc. I defo think its...
Maybe they do soften up after some use, but right now it really is unbearable. Mark where do you live lol i want to show you! Only way im going to find out is by comparing with other cars that have them fitted.
Mark if Bilies are soft then i must be crazy or something is seriously wrong. I don't have solid top mounts just OEM. Not sure if its because of that big spacer washer? I wish i could show you and i think you would be shocked.
If you could check when you can that would be awesome, are you...
Lol i have had worse suspension like all the cheap s**t in the past. I need someone who has some Bilies to go outside and press the car down and tell me how much it moves. I just can't believe it's supposed to be like this.
The problem is Keith it's not about getting used to them, good suspension should have some compliance. If the suspension barely compresses or there isn't much movement then its going to be bad. Even the races cars they had there had more movement in suspension then mine!
It had standard shocks and springs, they should not be this firm no way. As for alignment the car was just set ride height and and tracking so it drove straight. As far as im aware that's it. I'm really disappointed with them so far. I can't see anything going wrong when installing tbh so yer...
Right something is defo not right with the cars suspension. Ever since its been done its so rock hard! I have made a separate thread to see if anyone else is having the same issues.

Went to see John at Go Motorsport in Aylesbury...
Right, I have just spent a s**t load of cash refreshing all the suspension on my car. Reading up on here everyone seems to rate the B14s, bought a set and now fitted they are so hard! If the car is just sat level on the ground and you push down on the front wings they barely move. The cars...
Doing a CS BBQ or even better, bring the car to CSF and anyone could come along and volunteer to work on the car. Could be a feature of the show and then at the end do a victory lap! Alot of people would be there and would have tools for the track time so it would be perfect.
Hi Kev,
Things like this happen sometimes im just glad i caught it when i did before anything went wrong. I appreciate your apology and i was going to contact you on Monday about it. The gearbox was very strange obviously when the car was with you, you mentioned no leaks or anything and wasn't...
Well today was an interesting day! Took the car for its MOT and wasn't expecting to find this! It was the same on both sides.
As you can imagine when i saw that i was not happy and worried about the rest of it. Also had a massive gearbox oil leak. Once the MOT was done, took the car to Kev...
Do it! The one i got via @imprezaworks is really nice, not that harsh. A little bit of vibration, but it goes after 1500rpm ish.
Thank you for the kind words, appreciate it. We will get there in the end lol.
I do have one question, are the top mounts supposed to sit flush against the strut...
Got the car back today from Kev at Armstrong. As soon as i got in i could tell the difference. The dog bone makes the throttle response immediate and the gear change has improved. I did take it for a little drive this evening to see whats what and yer there is a big difference lol. The...
Hmm OK. Why does it have to point in a certain direction? Is it to do with the fluid going into the caliper a certain way or something? Would it have a big effect on braking? Currently when i hit the brakes at moderate speed the back wants to come around.
Car is in with Kev at Armstrong today, just called to check on progress. He mentioned all the rear is done and the front is in pieces. He will need more time as i suspected so it will be a pickup on Wednesday morning.
I asked Kev about the brakes and he did mention that the drivers side rear...
