Hense my question. What else makes them un-reliable?
Apart from one off problems which can happen with any car.
Genuine question. Do tell me.
Myself and two good friends have the 35i engine. And none of us have had any problems. Apart from a fuel pump which I had replaced under warranty.
That's a quick time. At Santa Pod?
Although I have no interest in running mine on a drag strip. Would rather spend a day on track. I wonder what an ITB'd Clio would run..
My car still has the twin turbo. N54 engine. 08 reg.
Also, I don't know what car you drove. Maybe the 3 series is completely different lol but mine is far from quiet and the power delivery could almost be described as brutal at times. It also likes to go sideways A LOT which makes it very...
That may ultimately be the case I'm not denying that.
I'm just saying that I'm shocked a Clio would be able to get near a time of a Focus RS for example. Or any other car with a considerably faster 0-60 time. Doesn't make sense to me.
My old DSG TT is seriously quick off the line and more...
Maybe the timing is different (fluffed) between the place people are using and Santa Pod.
How can a Clio match things like a Focus RS, Tuned Focus ST or Audi TT.
The only times I can put forward are from Santa pod for an Audi TT V6 and a MK2 Focus RS. 14.6 (Wet) and 14 respectively.
So I find it very hard to believe any standard ish Clio getting anything below 15 personally.
Oops just seen these replies.
I've just ordered an SPA one.
Where do I get this sandwich plate please? No idea what it's for but will just take your words.
Been looking on a few sites. But in a bit of a rush to try and get one ordered and fitted.
Can anyone recommend me a gauge for these?
A make or type you've used or you have currently?
Ta
What's different do you know?
As far as I was aware "1M's push more boost from the factory than a 135i (12-13psi compared to 7-8psi respectively), so that is why they make more power in stock form" but apart from that the engines are the same.
Ouch, sorry to hear mate.
At least no one is seriously injured.
Whiplash is awful though isn't it. Had it twice myself (not from car crashes) and each time I couldn't move my neck. When sitting up I'd have to lift my head with my hands. Horribly painful.
I know that I didn't mean I'm swapping just timing them up differently.. according to Cat Cam it's just the exhaust cam with different timing.
It will work better with my ITBs
What information do you base your opinion on by the way? (Genuine question not trying to be funny)
