Advise on aux belt/cambelt and future 428 cams

Never heard of them myself so can't comment. But is there any reason why you want to take it there over the specialists mentioned, BTM or Diamond Motors??

    ABS and ESP lights on?

Advise on aux belt/cambelt and future 428 cams

Not read the whole thread, but I'd be getting the whole lot done now, as soon as possible. If your belt is over due it could snap at any minute. I bought my 438 cams from K-Tec (£600 I think), I paid a specialist (MWM) to do a full cam belt change and fit the cams (£450), I then paid MWM for...

    Running costs: 172 versus 182

For a daily driver get a 182 Full Fat. It's got all the toys and will still be a hoot around a track.

    9th South Central / East: Surrey Rolling Road : £30! : Saturday 8th February 10am

I might try to come along, but won't know if I can until a few days before.. Wouldn't be in the Clio anyway as that's in bits. Just the BMW, but wouldn't mind seeing how many ponies it actually has. Be good just to watch other Clios achieve their numbers anyhow.

    Sparco Bucket Seats

It depends on how the seat is mounted mate. If it's side mounted then you'd need side mounts and a subframe obviously. With the option of sliders if you wanted them. If it's base mounted. Like my current seats are. Then you can bolt them straight to the subframes, like I do. Again with the...

Nimbus Heat Shield Sheet Size Needed?

I'll drop them a line. They probably just buy it from the same place as Demon Tweaks though and sell on with a mark up ;P Thanks, what about the brake lines too though? I wasn't sure if the general 500x500 odd would be enough but now I know, cheers. This is the place I'm looking at, they...

    Sparco Bucket Seats

Does your bucket seat have a slider attached to it already? If so just get some OMP subframes. http://www.kamracing.co.uk/car-tuning/renault/renault-clio-mk2/interior/seat-subframes-accessories/renault-clio-mk2-omp-seat-subframe.html

Nimbus Heat Shield Sheet Size Needed?

Can't find anything on their site about it, so they must just cut it off a roll and apply as part of the conversion.

Nimbus Heat Shield Sheet Size Needed?

Just a quickie. About to order some heat shield from the guys that provide demon tweaks. But before I do I wanted to see if anyone could confirm for me the sheet size I'd need. I don't have the car to hand to measure and look etc. Thanks.

    Help needed please on Dephaser!!

A new Dephaser is about £150 on its own. Best price is direct from Renault. I got mine for £109 I think, but the price changes often. However you'd have to do the cambelt change again also. Think this is around £400 from a reputable specialist for a car without air con.

    Clio 172 Cup- Track Car

Yeah that's fair enough. Really liking the interior and how the door cards and windows look together, this will be my next task.. Did I miss it, what did you use to paint your interior, rattle cans or a proper spray gun?

    Very Clean Mk1 Focus RS

I think the wheels make it to be honest. Even though I love the standard ones too. All it needs is for the gash steering wheel to be changed.
