If it's not been baked I wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the lacquer to fully go off. you may be able to a little sooner, but better safe than sorry.

I think the subframe was dropped.

also, with them wired to the interior light, they'll only work when the door is open.

biggest reason I changed was to make cat access easier. My 172 cat was shot to buggery and it was cheaper to get a 182 mani and have a cat made up to fill the gap. I've also got a decat, so swapping them over is now a 10 min job on the drive.

pull the lighter socket out, wire them to the BIG black earth, and the little positive that powers the bulb in the lighter / ashtray. If you wire them to the interior light, you'll still need to get them down into the footwells.

Mine are wired to the light on the lighter socket, on with the lights, off with the lights.

Those vertical lines look like kerb marks. The teeth look like someones changed a tyre and used the machine wrong. Like they've had it upside down and expanded the teeth into the rim face, rather than up the right way and contracted the hooks into the rim.
