I don't really understand your point? It's absolutely destroyed the current class leader at Bedford. It's a limited edition built to celebrate the 30th anniversary, and afaik the spec will then filter into the gti.
Point being, there is a reason that you've not been able to drive one, why...
Slightly different situation there. There are only 100 cars coming to the UK in the case of the pug, wether you get a go or not it'll sell out. Once the changes are rolled out to the standard gti it'll be easier to drive.
From a completely non scientific point of view, I'd say the market share has dropped horrendously in the UK.
I see more fiestas, minis, and 208s than the clio. It's a massive shame, if they build something decent I'd buy one.
It does smooth out once your used to it. It's better with slow smooth gearshift, or really aggressive shifts.
You can drive yourself mad with these cars listening for vanos, pinking, etc. Just forget about it and crack on. If it's going to happen it will do regardless.
Do the sales figured reflect a more successful car, or a more successful car market full stop, given the period of time when the mk3 was sold? Is market share not a more accurate guage of success?
No idea what the market share figures would be, but simple numbers sold worldwide has so many...
Yes I've driven the 200. It's good, chassis is decent (if not as responsive as the fiesta). Engine isn't powerful enough imo, and the box is poor. The actual changes go through smoothly, and quickly. But the delay from hitting the paddle to the change going through is really poor.
Try a vag...
They aren't. But neither are they silly enough to look at cost to buy and dismiss out of hand.
The majority of these cars are leased or financed. And when done that way, the difference is far lower, and you get a much higher quality vehicle, an excellent gearbox/engine combo and the badge...
Cars like the fiesta have sold like hot cakes. You/me and any other Cs pleb doesn't decide what people want. The market does.
And the market says if people want a fun, small cheap to run hot hatch, 99% buy the fiesta.
If people want a refined, more easy to live with hot hatch with paddles...
It's a bit more than that. 10 separate sensors. And for a watch that offers all of that, it's a good price (viewed as a fitness accessory). Not being waterproof makes it a bit pointless though.
I don't agree with that at all. Why can the Japanese and the Koreans build even cheaper cars, that are rattle free and have ridiculous warranties? Not singling out the Ford, it's a problem with a lot of European stuff.
Here you go. How to get the functionality without looking like a massive tryhard c**t. http://gizmodo.com/montblancs-new-e-strap-makes-luxury-watches-a-little-1677054621
Not sure if you're aware chap, but there's one or two photos knocking about. If it's made of unicorn smeg, it's still a cheap looking design imo. I'd rather wear a decent watch and look at my phone as and when required.
But everyone's different. I don't use my phone that much these days. Used...
Forgetting wether it's useful etc, it has a big problem for me. It looks awful. Really cheap.
It's one thing a tech company taking technology and revolutionising the design (as they did with the iPhone /ios). But applying tech to an object that's already often purchased purely on...
