the tappets on the 172`s are hydrolic lifters that run off the oil. if you have a low oil pressure then i think this could affect them as they would not be filling with oil. also if they are sticking then this could affect them too. i would firstly try flushing the engine out with some decent...
just had mine done as it was leaking so whilst having the dephaser pullie, cam belt and aux belts done i thought might as well get it done at the same time. made my wallet lighter too:cry:
nice one mate cheers. ill get on that this weekend. lol renault want about £130 to do it whilst i was having other bits done. i told them to leave it alone and that i would do it myself haha.
cheers again fella
snap on or mac tools mate. keep an eye out for there vans when going past garages and body shops as thats where they hang around then just go up and ask if they have got any. quite pricy though, i paid £30 for my pair.
ive had it on a computer and they said it was the upstream one but was unsure which one the up stream was lol. so i know its that one that need doing. is it an easy job? or am i going to struggle my testies off and end up takeing a welding torch to it lol.
thought it was as the car is chugging and hesitating to go which would indicate that one. i think the one after is just to read the 02 levels coming from the cat to see if it is doing its job which wouldnt affect the car its self would it.
is this the one before the cat or after? as mine needs replacing. also is it a dealers only part or can i get it from somwhere like gsf or euro parts?
cheers
my mate at work says they are sposed to be the best at what they do and is saving to get his car done there. cant speak for myself though as i havent used them.
finally got it done as i heard a few horror stories about them going and doing a fair bit of damage. mine had needed doing for about a year and in that year it had taken me to and from work nearly every day, done all my erons for me of a weekend, gone to devon and back and got a 15.8 time down...
looks good mate. how did the mica lie with it being two pack. didn know they still made this stuff and would have thought that it wqs more illigal to use that celly based paint.
i think if you use a cheap blade then it will scratch the f**k out of your paint work but i cant say ive noticed this with an auto glym one. if you get a bit of grit between anything you clean your car with it will scratch it so not sure that it would be that reason but i only really use it on...
sorry im a f**king idiot. what i ment was are these any good http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/I4D_Uber_Premium_Drying_Towel_1.html#aUBERDRY
are they better than what i use already or is there no difference really lol. god im thick
i usually use a autoglym flexy blade and an autoglym leather but its a bit of a pain having to keep ringing out the shammy. are these better for soaking up more of the water before needing a good sqeeze out or is there not really that much difference.
are you on about raising it at the top by the screen or at the bottom by the fron bumper? if by the bumper then on the inside of the bonnet their should be two rubber bungtype things. you can twist these to adjust the hight at this point.
