the end that hooks on to the caliper might of snapped off mate. that is what has just happens to mine and by the sounds of what is happening to yours it is identicle. get under the car and have a look at the bottom of the rear caliper. there is a small arm thing that should have a cable hooked...

+1 when im doing filler repairs i always flat like the unionjack flag. upand down, back and forth and diagonal from all corners. dont forget to gently rub your hand over the repair every now and then to make sure you are not going too mad and flatting too much out or not enough. oh and mix you...
found out what it was. under the car, there is 2 bolts that go into the subframe that are to do with the steering rack and one of them was just about to fall out so i tighted it back up and that solved the problem.

this is a bit weird. if i am going down the road in a strait line and the steering wheel is strait then i take a sharpish left turn. when i get back on a strait, my steeing wheel is still as if i am turning left. but the same happens if turning right too:S. what the hell would that be:dead:

what primer did you use if it is aerosol then i wouldnt use white spirits as it might take all the primer off and like you sa i think it contains oils. again i would use soapy water but it will only clean off water based stains but not solvent based stains and silicons which will give you no end...
