Sounds like a bit of a rip tbh, im not a mechanic but surely you could have gotten away with just the coil pack if that was the problem rather than coil pack and leads?? but in the end if its going better atleast thats something.

You'll probably notice the spring your taking off has a similar thing going on i.e. has some level of bumpstop protection in the form of rubber around a few coils of the spring, so just go by that. I believe the rubber bit is at the bottom. To Late lol
