    I've not driven a Ph2 172, but my Cup feels a lot composed and slightly quicker than my Ph1 in everyday driving. Oddly, I'd say the Ph1 felt rawer in normal revs, but the Cup is a whole different beast after 4k.

    I had most of the toys in my previous ph1 and Golt GTi - I simply don't miss them. Air con would be nice to de-mist on cold mornings, but that is seriously all I'd like.

    Give your insurance co a call, most (if not all?) will have a deal with a windscreen company to repair chips free and replace screens (if needed) for a small excess.

    I occasionally wonder if I should've gone for a normal 172 instead of the Cup, but the Cup's just have a better presence and stance over the normal 172's. Cup all the way.

    Hill Power's pretty well known on here. Must have had some work for 192 at the fly. EDIT - just read your other thread... I'd be fairly surprised if that returns 192 at the fly, but full credit if it does. Regardless, it'll still be nice. :)

    Broken splitters are pretty common, so it was either never fitted or it's been removed / broken at some point - should have one.

    Revving very oddly.

    Common problem, and the throttle cable has always been the solution / cause as they're cack. If not, it could be a slightly dodgy throttle body. My old ph1 had a slightly bent butterfly(?) valve which caused this before it was replaced.

    Have not had a single issue with my Cup in the wet yet, the back end seems very well planted. Also, my old Ph1 used to suffer from wheelspin on Toyo T1R's far worse than my Cup does on Eagle F1's.
