several ppl will explain its a very good mod , the freeflow will provide extra power and give a boomier note to the system .
have a word with ppl who have one fitted to their car for gains etc .
you will probably / most defo need to swap around come M.O.T time so it will pass the emissions...
on every newish car you have a catlytic converter (cat) on the exhaust which lowers the emissions . (better for the environmemt)
anyway having a decat will stop the restrictions imposed by the cat , giving better exhaust flow , thus being more responsive and producing more power for the car ...
it should tbh , but though your journeys aren't long tbh , you'll get a better return i suppose for continual driving rather than stop/starts with no aircon usage .
thats quite good returns tbh , i've heard some 1.2 owners doing alot less even similar to 172/182 owners .
though my mate can get around 35mpg out of his cup ......:S
the only reason i said that , my mate's blue 04 plate 18k miles was about the same price last yr 7.5/8 grand .
though he should push for as much as possible .;)
