Right, had an Oil Cooler fitted last week by Nick at HillPower.
I got a sandwich plate with a built in 80 degree stat.
Nick said it was running about 90 degrees on the m/way, and fair enough on the way home, it was running about 80-85.
The problem is now, after a couple of days, the oil is...
Do a search, its been covered quite a few times.
There are lots of possibilities for what might be causing the problem.
Power is a tad low, but torque is a fair bit lower than standard.
Have you any mods?
& what RPM were the figures at?
Well, Ive sampled a saxo one and its f**king sh*te!
My brother is running 159bhp in his Saxo VTS (tuned by GMC) and met up with a lad who had a LAD 160 conversion done on his VTS.
You should have seen the look on this guys face, he wasnt particularly happy with the so called 40 bhp increase...
Id say a valver, but if you plan on doing a few engine mods, the 106s 1.6 16v responds far better to tuning that the clios 1.8 16v.
If your gonna keep the engine fairly standard go with a valver. Better looks, sounds, and ability!
Well I had one fitted last week, along with a PBV and HillPower Chip.
Cars definately more powerful and feels a lot more torquey (if thats a word lol), and it a lot more responsive. I feel most of this is down to the chip and boost valve, but the IK does seems to be working well.
Noise is...
Yeah the screw bit has actually snapped, and yes, the drivers side iirc.
I could araldite it, but tbh, itd probably snap off again when screwed up tight.
I dont wanna run the risk of them falling off when driving!
Just the screw bit that goes through the bodywork, that the nut thing goes on to keep it secure.
Got them from K-Tec, but I guess its not their fault, but their supplies/manufactures. Unless it broke off when getting delivered?
Well gutted as I was really looking forward to seeing them on....
The Viper does sit quite close to the radiator but gets no heat soak though.
Nick Hill can make up an adapter for you. He was going to do me one, before I realised they K-Tec had finished making theirs to sell with the Kit.
Yep its all good! :D
Isnt that much quicker top end, but you can go the extra revs now. Pulls a lot better throughout the whole range. Throttle response is also a lot quicker.
Hammered it all the way home, and been out all day. Only home now, cos the petrol needle is on R lol!
Nick also...
