Not sure if I have time mate, fairly busy at the moment with 2 jobs.
Ali - I had a v6 mk2 255 spoiler to put on. Repaired it and sold it instead to someone on here as I needed the cash. It did look good when it was on...I thought it looked better than the cup spoiler.
If someone wants...
Saw about 3 172's today. 2 of them were going towards winmill bank about 8am as I was going up and over it. One was silver, one was red/burgandy with a performance exhaust. Think I saw the same guy in his silver 172 mk2 towards 5.30pm coming back up windmill bank near the Mermaid pub as I was...
I'm @ college doing vehicle body repair and also have a job in a body shop so I have access to spray booths, guns etc etc.
If you did it yourself it could turn out rougher than expected. Don't use a can. It's gotta go on your car at the end of the day, i'd want it to look as good as possible...
12 inches is way too big to seal. They would just advise to get a new one. I think on most insurance companies, no claims bonus is affected but only if you make something stupid like 6 windscreen claims a year. Gotta be unlucky to have that many cracks.
Shall I cut a section out of the bonnet and have the throttle bodies poking out? :) :)
It's gonna be rapido once the car is on tb's.
Still gotta spray the boot lock as said above, can maybe get some ph2 lights cheap too if needed.
Oh and I haven't had time to do the boot lock yet. Will do it within the next month or so. May even stretch to the front fog light surrounds and the rest of the wing mirror housing.
Right...
I decided not to sell my strips and door handles. I've being colour coding them off and on over the last 2 days and finally fitted them today, gave the car a clean and polished/waxed them up for protection.
Before, during and after pic's below. :o
Before (as I bought them from...
I'm usually around the whitmore reins area in wolvo on mondays and tuesdays. Sometimes pop to the McDonalds on the Stafford Road.
Look out for me :) Silver 172 Mk1
I know I took mine back and the powerflow guy fobbed me off with it's because you have a de-cat on. I appreciate the noise will be louder and boomier with a de-cat on but surely it could be quieter than what it is at the moment.
Mine's been on months so it's at it's loudest if it even gets...
How "quiet" can they make an exhaust?
I currently have a cat-back powerflow exhaust but its a bit too boomy and fairly loud for my liking.
Ideally, I want the exhaust as quiet as possible.
Can this be done? I know some people will say yea just stick a bigger back box on... but will this...
I'm scrapping the aircon. Mines running 195bhp @ the mo. It will be well above 200bhp when finished and it'll sound the dogs bollox. Can't wait!
Will give you car a french kiss when i'm down there, if it's still there.
Coilovers are best mod but if you wanna save some money mate.... my inlet is coming off my car soon which is matched already as i'm getting throttle bodies.
I'd sell you it no problem and it will be cheaper then getting it done.
PM me if interested.
I have an mk1 172 so it will bolt off...
