Cool. I have more than enough space for 120mm trumpets in the filter housing. Just wasn't sure how the connections would work with the backing plate in the way etc.
How much do these spacers cost roughly? Don't look as nice as bigger trumpets though..
Hmmm I see yeah. Would that fit within the filer housing though? Mine is literally pushing onto the bonnet as it is and have no space to push that further out.
Nice write up. I saw you go out for laps a few times. I was there from 3rd-6th.
Some great photos you have there too, especially the air one. You were obviously pushing on much much harder than I was. How did you find the grip with the tyres??
How many laps did you do over the long weekend...
Thanks Phil. I've got plenty of space in my air filter housing already. The bonnet barely closes though lol. Need to trim the underside of it..
I'm not exactly sure on the setup. It was Chrispys old setup if anyone knows it.
I think I have 45mm. Is there any benefit in opening up the manifold to fit bigger diameter trumpets?
Probably just stick with what I've got already to keep it simple.
Emerald ones sound interesting though.
Yeah that's what I thought, thanks.
But I'm sure there were no holes in the big end bearings!!! :S In fact I'm almost certain, I even had them in my hand lol! Unless they are so small I wouldn't have seen without looking for them?
Apologies for going a bit off topic here.
I'm getting my words muddled up completely then! No idea what bearings are what now lol!
I assisted* my mate whilst he changed some bearings on the bottom of his con rods, whilst fitting ARP rod bolts too. I thought these were big end bearings? They didn't have any holes in them, well not...
I think I follow that, thanks.
I've never actually seen a centre main bearing, didn't know there was a hole lined up in them. Assumed they were the same as big end bearings. Got a pic for reference?
