Yeah, it's a totally standard 220GTi. It was a nice car after an Astra 1.3L. It had half leather, electric windows and sunroof and a lot more poke. It didn't corner too well, but was nice and comfy. One up and running it went well.
Monkey Island 1 and 2 are two of the best games of that type ever made. I remember getting hold of a beta copy of 2 from a mate as US Gold. To say I was popular with Amiga owners at the time was an understatement. lol
"a rubber chicken with a pully in the middle, what possible use could that...
I went to see a Mk2 V at Renault Brum a while back. I peeled back the RenaultSport plates, spotted the reg and asked the dealer if it had come from RUK. He confirmed it had. Some are run by staff though, very few of them have seen tracks.
It's a lot of money to hand over so make sure you know...
They run more cars than those. Staff only keep cars for 11k then they get swapped. As I said, it's probably too young to have been used as a press car.
You should be able to tell from the previous owner on the V5 I'd think.
Don't worry about that, just do the usual checks and make sure...
It could have been registered by Renault UK and used for shows, someones company car or on track days. It might not be the case, it's only the region in which the car was registered that made us think that. The press cars around that time had similar plates, but I'm sure the racing blue 182s...
I thought that too. It may have only had one owner, but lots of drivers....and on track too if it is an ex RUK car. It was certainly registered in the right place. Of course not all cars with that plate were RUK cars.
Fronts tend to last around 12k so 4 new ones at 19k is nothing to worry...
I feel dirty. :o I gave my engine bay a wipe over a few weeks back after looking at Rich's. It hadn't been done in 30k miles. I've never done under the arches even though I look each time I wash it, and think I really should.
Looks spot on. Painting the calibers makes a big difference...
Not soon, but it's in the pipeline.
It's going the right way that's for sure. Very few details though, because Renault are still throwing ideas around.
I've got a 42" Panasonic Plasma and a 26" Samsung LCD. The image on the Panasonic is much better than on the LCD.
As the Panasonis is new it does suffer a little from temporary burning, but it goes after a short while watching something else. I should really run it in on a lower setting to be...
Yeah, my home PC is ancient so only gets used for email and the net these days. Staff still moan they want faster PCs!!!!
My work PC is getting on now too. Athlon X2 4800. I did have crossfired X1900XTX in it but they had issues with two monitors even more so than the nvidia cards so at...
Yeah, that's one of the coders PCs. Everyone who has a new PC here now either gets that spec or a quad core model depending on what's in stock at the time.
That PC is running totally stock speeds and fairly conservative memory timings. They need to be stable
Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800
3gb Corsair Dominator PC8500
Nvidia 8800 GTX (just one on this occasion)
16695
That's amazing considering the same spec PC with SLI'd 7900GTX gives 16543.
Anyone running CPS in Backup Exec 11d?
I've just had a punt around the Symantec forums and it appears it's not great.
It's pretty basic but very handy to keep a constant online copy of data online save getting tapes out all the time.
It syncs when I start the job then does sod all. It...
It turned out to be the boot catch.
Yeah we did that Clarkie. Went for a drive as soon as the foam was in. We kept driving round the dual carriageway so we were close to the Shell station to check the presure later. The foam didn't set in over 2 hours!!! When they took the tyre off it was...
