Orange have withdrawn the N80, so the only way of getting updates is to get generic firmware onto it "the other way". (or try a service center and see if they'll do it for you, results seem to vary with this...)

My memory card problems disappeared after updating the firmware. My n80 is a orange supplied one, so I went the dodgy route and flashed it to generic firmware myself. I'm guessing that the nokia updater only works for generic n80's and not network ones as they don't seem to have approved that...

I installed it and the problem went away. Sends and returns almost instantly, not after 20-30 seconds. Maybe a factory reset of your phone followed by an install of the sms accelerator will solve it. What firmware do you have on the phone?

Get the fix from the nokia site then! I posted a link here a while back. You install a program and it fixes the problem, do a search and you should find it. :)

I've just looked at that site.... Be aware that the control for the motors is open loop and I'd imagine that the results of it are pretty poor. It is simple however, and the pic code shows it!

Karen has an intel mac so she has 10.4 Her problem I still suspect is that it's not been copied to applications. Once it's downloaded there should be a disk image on the desktop, she needs to open that and drag MSN into the applications folder, regardless of whether it runs automatically after...

Linux has a major problem.... Too many random cooks spoil the broth. It requires a single, consistent, unified GUI, otherwise it's going to find it very hard to gain desktop acceptance.

See my edit. Sounds like you didn't drag it from the disc image (the .dmg you would have downloaded) to the Applications folder. You just ran it straight from the image, hence why it's not there anymore.

Go to your harddisc and then it's inside Applications. Drag it from there onto the dock. Edit: Did you run it from the disc image or drag it from the disc image to your applications folder. If it didn't come with an installer, then you'll need to do that. I can't tell you if it does because...

Have you dragged it into the dock? If you haven't then it'll only appear there when you run it and when it's closed, it'll dissapear.
