I'm not having much luck with the coat hanger trick. Apart from shedding my thumb skin off and managed to scratch the side panel i'm not doing too good.
How far should i need to push the coat hanger in to hear this 'click'?? And once its clicked does it kind of pop out and then i slide it out...
That looks amazing mate, bet you can't wait to get your hands on it. What rims are they? They look amazing on the car aswell. Congrats on owning such a mint car.

Thanks Andy for clearing that up. I shall get to fitting my de-cat asap then! One last question though..my de-cat which i've kindly received from yaser has a flange missing at one end..how easy are they to buy and weld on? Will a scrap metal yard have them?
John
I just have a quick question on this. If the engine management light is on because of the no cat, how do we tell if something else goes wrong as the light will already be on?
John
I've got it too. All cars here in the UAE are fitted with the alarm. If its found to be tampered with your car gets impounded for 6 months too, lol. I just crank up the sound system and be done with it. Must be hell for guys in M5's etc.

Hi Mate,
Loving every second with the car although i've concluded i've picked the worst colour ever to have in the desert, lol. As soon as i've washed/waxed it and drive off it gets a layer of dust on it,literally no joke. I've sent you a PM.

I'd say looks and a little better breathing. If you look at the OE pipe it has wrinkles in it,this distorts the airflow which can't be a good thing, having a silicone bend which is smooth will help. A few people have experimented with 45 degree bends and not the usual 90 degree bend.

I have admitted defeat...i simply could not get the screws into the bodywork, the space was just too small to work with. I've got the car on the ramps tomorrow so i'll fit it in the morning, thanks for all the help guys.
John
Hi Guys/Girls,
Fitted my ITG panel filter tonight, dropped the screws to the airbox several times and always down the tighest gap, lol. Next up is the Hill Power bend, had a good look around the engine, god its such a small area to work in! The standard air feeds look crap tbh so they'll need to be...
thanks guys most helpful,i've not got a ramp to put it on so its the hard way for me,lol.Should i drill a couple of pilot holes in the splitter to help the screws in? Will hopefully post some pics when attached in a few hrs!!
Thanks again
John
Hi guys,
Anyone got a fitting guide for the front splitter? I've had a quick look at it and usually i'd say i'm quite good with hands on stuff but not a clue where to start with this. Where do the screws go? Do i take out the ones currently in?Any help appreciated
John
Hi Guys,
Been hunting round Dubai for AG but to no avail so i'm going to have to order some in but whilst i'm waiting i went down to the Porsche dealership and bought protech shampoo and resin polish. Came up very nice and although my car is only 8 days old so pretty much anything would look...
Thanks mate i'll try that. I had a good chat with the chief technican at renault here, and he seemed very knowledgeable. He said its mostly like the chip in the key communicating with the ECU varifying the codes etc, and as i have 2 keys and i've yet to label them i've probably been using 2...
Hi Guys,
Had my new 182 8 days now and 4 times in the morning when trying to start the engine it just misfired(didn't start). It always starts second time or always starts when warm but its hardly cold here in the morning anyway. I'm a little worried as to why its doing this. I've covered 1,500...
From one fellow black/gold owner to another...that looks brilliant mate!! Looks in top condition. I'm giving mine a good wash and polish tomorrow too and i'm going to take some photo's outside the burj i think and try and show off the black/gold,lol.
John
Defo mate, moving back to Knutsford area so i'll be 20 mins away max. Really pushing hard to come home early now, my time in Dubai is up,i want out, lol.
John
P.S After seeing your GAZ coilovers i'm most likely going to get them aswell within the next few months, just want to leave it mostly...
I do like the standard wheels but i'm looking for something different and a bit less weight. The standards can be a good spare set or i might sell them.
John
Okay,16's it is then!!! Just trying to make my mind up which alloy i like as i'm pretty limited to choices being in Dubai. They want 300 pound delivery if i order from UK so trying to find some decent alloys here. What offset am i looking at? I've heard ET 37 and ET43 being thrown around???
