Lambo/Ferrari/M5/911/C63's etc. Making Lots of Noise.

I’ve seen load of these kinds of videos, all of the events seem to be abroad too, though I’m guessing if it was over here there would be about 5 police vans outside the gates lol

That’s pretty strange being moved from Princess Dock, I’ve never had a problem there, most of it is public pavement around the sides of it anyway. But yeah, that area is fantastic, I think I’ll go back after Christmas with the new lens and my 10 stop and do some architecture stuff.

It's the No.4 building in St.Pauls Square, not too far from where you got that picture of the plane on the wall with the heart shaped smoke trail. Funnily enough I was being watched by security at the time lol

Yeah I’d do that. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s overkill, you see many people with beginner DSLR’s like those for holiday photos, it just means you get better quality photos. And yeah exactly, it’s all down to sensor size. A DSLR sensor and lens is far bigger and better, and will give much...

It depends what you class as big and bulky, for me this is practically a compact :p But this is in good condition with all the items you’d want from when it was new for only £165 on Buy It Now, so pretty good...

The bridge cameras will be marginally better than the compacts, although for that budget you could get a mega cheap old DSLR that will get noticeably better photos than a bridge camera could.

He has to be one of the best automotive photographers in the world tbh. Nobody else gets such stunning results in photos that still look like photos rather than digital art (500px stuff is terrible for over photoshopping).

    LED lighting.

Well, you could use this to light paint (have a google search if you don’t know what I’m on about) or you could buy some flashes, which is the more expensive and (IMO) better option. But I’d just buy a decent LED torch and try some light painting at first :)
  17. Niall

    LED lighting.

It depends on what you’re using it for, it’s no replacement for a flash setup, that’s video lighting for lighting interviews etc. But I suppose it could be used for light painting if it runs on batteries.

There was some awesome lighting at Oulton Park yesterday, and the lens flare is genuine lens flare, it look uncannily like the Photoshop render, but there is no fakery here, only a 1/50th pan facing into the sun :) Mini by Niall97, on Flickr

A good camera, probably better than the 450D mentioned above. It depends what system you want to buy into for lenses and things though.

Yeah I’ve wanted to return to Cym Idwal for a while, I went on a school geography trip and thought it’d be a great place for landscape photos.

You hit the nail on the head here. Far too much of the automotive stuff on 500px looks like a graphic from a game rather than a photo :S

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread

I do adjustments in Lightroom, and if something needs cloning out I use Photoshop. In Lightroom I adjust exposure, contrast, clarity, colour such as temp/saturation, sharpness and a crop. So all pretty light adjustments to boost the original photo, rather than completely alter it :)

I'd go for the 600D, they're a great camera for the money being so cheap nowadays. The 1000D is seriously dated now.

Haha, I’ve heard that a few times of late with such purchases :p Most people my age p*ss their money down the drain with items that they can’t get their money back on, while with the same amount I can get items such as this, which actually earn me money through my paid work.

I had to stretch for that money if I was to get it before Christmas you see, plus the fact I saw a 2011 one go for £750 a week or two previous. Ah well, this is a mint one with all the packaging so it should be great :)
