Having just fitted my new cat back exhaust and decat today There is a bit of a rattle as it hits the underside of the car in a coulple of places. One of the places it hits is at the back of the decat (the end closest to the rear of the car) and the other is on the rear axle. The rattling is not...
I was thinking of that and may give it a try but I was wondering whether or not its possible to get longer rubber mounts? or even ones with wider holes?
If I went to an exhaust fitting place would they be able to sell me just the mount?
Today I decided to fit the exhaust I bought off ebay a while back and a lunner decat. Everything went fine (apart from taking ages to get the old one off lol) until it came to fitting the new backbox. The problem is that at the mounting point closest to the rear bumper the previous owner of...
Im gonna fit it today anyway and post a letter to tthem later today as the woman on the phone said I would be OK to fit it in the meantime until I write to them.
I just phoned CIS to tell them I will be having a new exhaust and decat fitted but when I phoned I was told that I couldnt do it over the phone and would have to write to them. They said that it shouldnt really affect the premium even if it does increase BHP and that I would be OK to fit it...
Im planning to fit my new exhaust and decat tomorrow (have been meaning to for ages but never got round to it) and just had a few questions.
Do you need new gaskets for fitting the decat? I have seen a lot of people mention this but I have also been told by some that you do not and just to...
Ill have a look tomorrow mate but around the gearbox it is really covered in oil. Ill check the gearbox oil level tomorrow as well because that was topped up about 3 or 4 weeks agoand since I have done about 700 miles. If it has gone down a fair bit then I will know that the gearbox is...
I have noticed for a while that when I have been coming out of the car after a drive there was a smeel of burning oil if you know what I mean and I think its gearbox oil. The plastic tray that is under the gearbox linkage on my clio (a mk1 1.4 RT) is coverd in oil and so is the area around it...
Ive just bought a set of these off ebay today so they better look good. Not that I could complain as they only cost me £100 and they have good tyres and very little scuffing. :D
Ill post some pictures up once I get them fitted and the car lowered.
Thats what it is in some of them though so I dont want any of it dropping in. The problem is that if I try and get it out some way I will probably loosen all the oil lumps which will cause another problem. Ill go out and have a proper gander at it tomorrow. As for the tubing then its OK if...
Oooohhhh dont do the colour coding - you might just tempt me. ;)
What do you think of it?
Do you have a copy of it without the colour coding just so that I can see what it would be like if I just put the alloys on and lowered it.
Thanks again mate - much appreciated.

Onto the car in this photo and lower it about 60mm - the wheels I...
I am going to be changing the spark plugs on my clio (Mk1 Ph2 1.4RT) sometime today or tommorow but I just had a couple of questions.
I was having a quick browse in the haynes manual and it says to clean out around the plugs before removing them so that nothing drops into the engine but when...
Thanks for the pic mate. I think I would probably prefer ones where the spokes (if you want to call them that) go all the way to the edge of the rim if you know what I mean as it makes them look a bit bigger without actually being any bigger. Time for a browse on ebay.
I have a Mk1 1.4RT and need to get a set of 15" alloys for it. The car is naples red.
I was thinking of getting some Phase 2 16vs in black but I have kind of gone off that idea now and was just looking for some other options but dont want to get some really chavish wheels if you know what I...
