Going to do this myself. I suspect a lower balljoint having gone so im gonna change it. Can anyone provide me with a walkthru guide or is it a fairly straightforwad job? Also is it common sense to do the front pair instead of just one side?

In your case, yes they should go on the back....;) I don't subscribe to that view though. Have always put newer tyres on the front. I want my driven wheels to have the fresher rubber, not the rear. If it gets loose at the back due to the tyres, its down to having superior rubber on the front...

When you say slow do you mean it struggles to accelerate? Sometimes when you increase the bore of an exhaust by too much you lose back pressure (the strength of the exhaust vacuum pulse) so the engine has to labour. Has it always felt sluggish or just recently?

I would have if i wasn't having a rag round the Top Gear track tomo! Im interested to see if yours is down on power. Have you done any breathing mods? Uprated air filter element etc?

You also have to remember that the 172 Cup runs on 195/45/16's whereas the Trophy is on the 205/45/16's.....wider tyres.

I'd speak to Renault. They will have part numbers for their workshop manuals which is what the technicians will use for reference.
