Which model is it? 1.8 16v? Mines sometimes drops down to about 500rpm, before picking back up and idling normally at 900rpm. Happens a few times when cold, but its fine when its warm.....

Youll still get lift off oversteer. 10mm difference in the tyres wont affect the way the car handles that much.

Yeah, a rr tune costs me £50. Would be money better spent. Standard leads should be less than £35, or you can get some Magnicor 8mm ones from HillPower. Dont know the exact price but think its below £50 As for the brake pads, get some Kevlar ones from K-Tec. Theyre just under £30 for a pair.

I dont think twin 6x4s would look right in the middle, maybe either side. If your going for two in the middle, stick to round tailpipes.

Since your talking about a standard 172, and a "tuned" 172 thats 1 second quicker down the strip, it would be somewhere in the region of 35m behind

It does actually make it go faster, but runs the risk of damaging things in the process...... Not recommended!

The originals were very loud (which I have and am very happy with) The new ones were still loud, but not on par with rally cars. They now do "quiet" versions which obviously are quieter (not sure how quiet/loud though)

Tune the 1.8 instead; Chip, boost valve, cams and head work. Then get a K-Tec big brake conversion. & slam it if you havent already

Is that the one thats on every saxo in the country! If it is, it should fit yeah. Seen it on a white valver in max power and in the clio max power/haynes manual.
