Demon Tweeks have just phoned me to let me know my alloys will be in tomorrow.
Wont have chance to get to Wrexham til Friday though.......cant wait!
16" Momo Fighters with 195/45 Goodyear GSD3s.
Got some bolt in alloy valves and locking wheel nuts thrown in for pretty much nothing too...
Toyos are very good in the dry in my opinion (I have them on my valver at the moment) and pretty good in the wet (not the best, but defo not the worst)
Uniroyals are awesome in the wet from what Ive heard, and good in the dry.
GSD2s are awesome in the dry and very good in the wet
No...
The change in rolling diameter makes a slight change to the gearing but nothing as bad as what your describing e.g. only 50 in 2nd.
with 195/45/15s the speed in each gear on the red line would be approx;
1st - 36mph
2nd - 62mph
3rd - 85mph
4th - 111mph
Youll want a tyre with a V speed rating (thats good for up to 149mph)
Best tyres in my opinion are;
Toyo Proxies T1-S (Very good value for money)
Uniroyal Rainsports (Awesome in the wet)
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2
Goodyear GSD3
Its worth what people are willing to pay....
Just for example, I bought my 95M last year with 48K on too, mint!
It was up for £4K which I thought was very reasonable, but managed to get it for just £3250 cos the garage wanted rid of it (only dealt with new clios) and I dont think they knew...
IMO they are worthwhile, but, they need setting up properley on a rr.
No point fitting them otherwise, cos theyll make no difference or infact make it run worse.
Sounds wrong.
Changing on the red line will give you approx;
1st - 38mph
2nd - 64mph
3rd - 88mph
4th - 115mph
5th - 139mph
I know its hard to gauge, but does it feel like your going as fast as the speedo says. i.e. When you following loads of cars in a 30 zone all doing 30 what...
You should have looked at it before you lowered it.
& I dont theres enough adjustment in it with a -80mm drop.
Best to let someone who knows their stuff look at it.
Theres some guy with a valver a few streets down from me, whose missing a couple of centre caps now.
Im keeping a close eye on mine at the moment, at least Id know who it was if any went missing!
