T1R's are good enough for first trackday no doubt, and cheap which is the main thing!
Like mentioned keep an eye on the pressures and dont drop them to silly low pressures before going out as you will just end up on the sidewalls, do a few laps to warm them come in and...

Mine is also on Koni adjustables.. Is brilliant on the road (I do about 25k a year) and also very good on trackdays would not hesitate to reccommend them at all!
Personally for the cost I wouldn't use them on the road just seems a waste.
Hence I have a couple of sets of wheels, 888's for track pe2's or the like for road..
888's certainly wont last long using them on the road.. and aren't exactly cheap
