actually there was another thread regarding a raised rev range too . basically as said above the green gear shift light comes to change gear , but raising the limiter means you can go that bit further in that gear before you need to change up , giving in theory a quicker power deliverance when...

get a decat , edde knows of a link pipe to get them all together , also try fredyozzasport and put up a wanted request for the link pipe to the 182 manifold /decat for a 172

you cant fit the 182 manifold without a link pipe or compatible cat to the 172 system , i've got the ktec sports cat which is a direct match , expensive though

the 182 manifold gives you more mid range power .

the manifold inlets are different , the 182 cat is bigger too .

its about 20% odd i believe , could be several reasons , normal losses through engine to wheels , a flat spot on the tyres would have some effect too .

rear wipers aren't covered on the m.o.t ???? mine didn't work , so i bought a new one , then was told its not required :S

having the raised limiter does help ^^^ specially changing gears whilst playing ;)

actually our rev range was raised to 7600 ....... plus paul tested/showed me on the run , it did appear to show 8k but was defo 7600 he said :eek:
