Ok, so the fuse in the interior fuse box is fine and does not blow instantly? Sounds like there is no power getting to it. You may be better off contacting Mick@Diamond Motors as he is really good with electrics!

Under the passenger side of the dashboard there will be a load of wires, make sure these are all pushed in correctly

Pretty much this mate, if your car is stripped it will lack any bass and the music will sound pretty crap! The amplifier is loud enough for me, and is more powerful than your average stereo!

You could take the power from the cig lighter, and then just put an inline fuse (2amp on the second one). You wouldn't need to go to the battery as the current draw is not high enough to require it. Have you taken them out and checked they are plugged in? This may sound like a stupid suggestion but the previous owner could have had aftermarket ones in then not connected the old ones back up
