I just can't get over the details. The white front spoiler and mirror, just mental. They've really dropped the ball with the styling of the current gen. Terrible.
A ginger with leprosy stands out. Not a good thing though.
100% right. It's a lot easier to drive fast/hard. Probably why I don't enjoy them as much.
Brakes are great, better pads are good for track, more initial bite.
Colour code the mirrors and blade. Get rid of the standard wheels. Remove the stripes. At least then it looks like a normal 200 in a slightly dubious blue.
And change the leather gaitor thing on the gear stick. Horrific.
His best mate sells weed in cov. Curley follows him selling munchies. ;)
Glad you're happy with it. Not my cup of tea, but you'll enjoy driving/cleaning it!
Vee pro's
-Looks brilliant
-Unique
-Sound great
-All of the above mean that when driving normally, it's fantastic
-Love the gearshift
-Big engine behind you
-Grip
Cons
-Not as quick as you'd hope
-Given the pace, the fuel economy is laughable (iirc Riz was getting very low 20's, spending a lot...
Yeah, I got very bored and worked out the power to weight ratios.
Load of shite. I'm glad I went for a 182cup back in the day. Drove the same, looked the same, cost me less.
Stripped out road racer? You'd cry if you sat in a 205 if you think a cup is a stripped road racer lol.
The 172cup was a sportier version of the 172. But people like cs asked for the suspension option on the normal version. So since then the cup has been a 'value' model of the normal car...
Reason for not having then is that take up across the range (ie not just the 197) was low for the mk3's. No point in developing the headlight units, self levellers, and washer jets for such a low take up.
Easily remedied though. Spec the cornering lights option and you get projector lenses...
Doesn't change the fact that he'll be able to enjoy the noise and small power gain, not to mention the great quality. Then sell of for little or no loss. Can't knock it in that respect.
I'd usually agree. But come selling time it'll still be worth a damn good chunk of that £850. And they sound incredible, as well as the power.
They are proper bits of kit.
