Due to some c**k driving into the back of my car, im gonna take the opportunity to smooth my tailgate as it is being fixed!!
What i therefore need is to get a solenoid release for my boot lock.
Having read some previous posts i see that BenP and benworley have both done this to their RTs...
Thanks J!
He is insured! Which saved him from a beating!
Didnt call the police but exchanged all details.
It was on a friday night after id been out for a friends 20th - decided with a couple of mates (in their cars) to go for a quick town cruise to finish the night off nicely and...well you...
Cheers Brun!
Im thinking i might take this as an opportunity to get the whole tailgate smoothed!!
No need for new boot handle strip, no badges, lock or wiper!!
Every cloud has a silver lining!

Apoligies for the bizarre topic name but i am somewhat enraged and very upset right now!!
This is because on friday night somebody crashed into the back of my beloved 16v!!
What makes it worse is that it was a young guy in his first car having probably just passed his test!

Attach a splitter to the front bumper! Something like an ibiza or laguna splitter will be cheap as chips and will make the front bumper as low as the skirts/back bumper!
If your feeling adventurous you could even customly modify your standard front bumper ie. meshing etc...
At Mean Street Cruise last Saturday there was some black guy in a Tuscan with the plate N3GGER!!!
Its fair to say he looked pretty gangsta!!

I think your numbers came up on the lottery!!
Sounds awesome mate - particuarly like the skyline blue - top colour!
Out of curiosity what LED rear clusters were you thinking of?? And how do you plan on getting HID headlamps!?
Oh yeah - 17" SuperLs! Aint no better wheels! (I have them...
I got mine lowered for £190 but that was with coilovers and included setting them up!
As for the torsion bar a "special" tool is required so some places may not be able to do it.
I would advise you to mention that they must also adjust the brake bias as many cowboys (Xtreme ) do not!!
Ive got 17"s on mine, and i have lost NO full lock at all!
Mine isnt getting lowered till next weekend so i cant comment on whether the rear will rub.
And as for loss of performance, i imagine that like mine your overall radius will be only marginally larger; meaning that loss of performance...
Torsion Tuning is by Witham, its in the middle of nowhere!!
Only about 10 minutes drive from chelmsford though, if you need directions ill sort you out some.
Try calling Jon Metz at Torsion Tuning on 07949200705!
He works on valvers and 5GTTs every day! He will be able to sort you out with all the technical knowledge youll need, and promises to match anywheres prices!!
Mines black with 17" Superleggeras, i dont recall seeing a valver about with chinese symbols on it anywhere?!
Perhaps ill see you at a cliosport meet sometime soon?
Hey hey! Im near Chelmsford too! Havent seen that many valvers around though - what colours yours??
As for gearbox places, im not too sure - im having some work done at Torsion Tuning which isnt too far from Chelmsford - they could probably sort you out!?
Think of how much your gonna be spending on your security here!! A LOT!
I think you need to weigh up whether its worth it for the cost of a CD changer!?!
Bottom line if someone breaks in to try and steal something from your boot and cant - there gonna be pissed and will probably cause no...
Wallis i can absolutely assure you that OZ SuperLs are a feck load lighter than SuperTs!!
I have 17" SuperLs and they weigh only 1kg lighter wheel+tyre than my standard phase 2 rims!!
I dont remember the exact weights but i posted them on an earlier thread...
Yep, changing your clios colour from grey to blue would be a major mission!! This is due that to do it properly the whole car needs to be stripped to the bare bones so the whole shell can be painted! Otherwise, for example, when you open the bonnet the inside would still be grey!!
