Basically the Renault grpN ECU then.
Mine was definitely faster withe the groupN fitted, although mine was coupled with ITG Maxogen, ported inlet manifold, cat back exhaust and uprated fuel pressure regulator.
Typical diesel driver comment!!
if you want a car in which you can put your foot down in 4th @ 40 and 'launch' you wouldn't buy a 197!!
How about the 197 in second @ 40?
I believe he means the point at which the cams reach maximum volumetric eficiency.
Or when the car comes on cam.
Give the guy a break, it could have been worse. At least he didn't say "when the VVT kicks in." lol
I'm sure there are subtle differences.... But they all seem much of a muchness in terms of quickening the silly fly by wire throttle and beefing up midrange torque etc.
Dibs on your coilovers. ;-)
I know what you mean Ali - I took the rear seats out of mine to fill it with golf gear and drove about 60 miles in it. Left me fealing tired and neary deaf. lol.
Sounds very similar to what I experienced when I had my GrpN ECU. Throttle response is like lightening -Must open the butterfly much quicker than the standard map or something.
There are 480 Flame Red ph2 172's registered in this country. And over 2300 Mondial Blue Cups.
So you're far less likely to see a flame red 172 than a Cup!
Not as rare as you think!!
EDIT - Beaten to it a few posts up!!
And better seats. lol.
I bought an FF becuase I wanted a well specced car that was nippy. Not a poorly specced car that was two tenths nippier. Horses for courses.
Cup does look better, but I've addressed that on mine.
More than likely due to the wings and bumpeers being made of plastic. You can notice it on the lighter colours of the RS range on the 1*2's too. They must use a different type of paint primer for the plastic stuff hence the metallic colours can look very different.
May have been sprayed in a...
The centre section on mine fell apart after 2000 miles, due to a design fault (or them forgetting to weld certain parts on lol). And I had to drill a hole to relocate the extra bracket they had fitted as the bracket arm wasn't welded to the back box in the right place. The welds arent that great...
Completely off topic, but I'd just like to say that badinage is a f**king lovely word and one I've not heard for some time.
(means banter for the less literate ones amongst us)
I will. when I win the lottery.
Obviously I'll have to rename the business laingoWorksSport and give you pink overalls to wear. lol.
You'd be pleased to discover that your new sponsor makes excellent tea though. lol.
hahahahahahahahahaha.ha. ...hah....ha If that's at the wheels you've gained 20+bhp from a filter and a remap??!!
At the wheels. My f**king arse sunshine!!:clown: :clown:
