If you want a RWD car for some fun then get yourself a Nissan 200SX S16 or something, proper fun for real men :)
MX-5 is a nice motor, and they do feel fast due to sitting so low, but they really suffer from image problems.
I always wondered as a kid if you could attach a pellet gun to the helicopter somehow, or thinking now a video camera to some fit neighbours window :)
Seriously though, mate of mine had a petrol copter for his birthday 3/4 years ago, and within a day it was wrecked beyond repair. They are...
Quick? Yes...
But you appear to be a completely delusional fool. Please point out where exactly i made a false claim of butchering the MC, or where i stated i kept up nose to nose? As soon as you can point that out i'll retract, but until then and for the third time...please change the record...
Best of luck mate, i think the 172/182 will surprise you once you understand its characteristics. Maybe not so much coming from an Elise, but they are ruddy good cars :)
You mean to say you've been bitching in this whole thread without even trully knowing what model i was speaking of? Makes sense.
And yes Ian you seem to be the only person unsure of what they are talking about. Indeed that is the correct model.
Ian, husssssshhhhhhhh little girl :)
Its not a comparison ffs, it was some fun i had and it was rare to find an M-Coupe and someone willing to also share a laugh. Its not handbrake wheelspinning drag racing through town, its just some dual carriage, subjective fun.
If you can't appreciate...
Dave3141, you may recall me detailing my car also had a 4K rattle. Well the other night i had it up on the axles and found it actually wasn't the heatshield at all!
Whats causing the rattling on mine is a loose manifold bolt directly after the 4-1, there are two spring loaded bolts - one of...
How about never again, can't believe what a s**t-storm it blows up. This whole forum just mesmerises me at times, people have a bad day and just turn on each other needlessly.
Who you with?
Try Bell Direct/Admiral/Elephant (all same umbrella company, but differing prices) then maybe try Direct Line and Tesco, Greenlight (Cliosport disocunt).
Should be cheaper than that, but insurance companies always try it on with renewal quotes because most people do anything...
Ian get off your high horse, you've been confused this whole thread making random comments. As i've said repeatedly, it was an M-Coupe, not an M3 Coupe as you seem to think. And no an M isn't an M.
Read the thread, take a deep breath and then start making some sense, also if you could point...
So true, people love to be petulant on these forums for no reason what so ever, seems even more so in the last month people having a pop at each other for no reason.
Chris, it's not scientific unfortunately, didn't get time to calculate exactly how far it had pulled on me, which is why i said...
My top three threads are probably:
1) People whinging about forum debate.
2) People shooting down others efforts.
3) People who seem to take life too seriously.
No particular order.
R32 = Boring cars to drive though, drove one two years ago and i just felt too distant from the road. Its almost too refined for its own good.
Personally i'd chop in for an Exige or a VX220 turbo, or an Integra dc5. Depends what you want from your car though, street racer look/drive or more...
Indeed, he sounds a little confused.
Hmm reading my text and in his defence i put "M3 Coupe" in my text, my mistake (perhaps a mod can alter that to say M-Coupe). Like i said, given they're 325bhp monsters, i thought my 172 did itself proud. Never expected to come close, and it wasn't but i...
They are fast mate, no question. But you'll notice the biggest speed difference after 80/100mph compared with the 182. But all things considered (standard) you will be able to keep up with him to a degree, just don't expect to ever overtake him.
Get him on a track though and i think you should...
Like i said i don't like exagerated claims which is why i've tried to be pretty much impartial, i respect the MC like it should be.
I never said i kept up with it, i never said i overtook it, i never said it was touch and go...it beat me, it pulled on me - period.
What i did say was i didn't...
Was heading into leamington yesterday with the Mrs (yes +1), and just off the M69 I saw what looked like a legendary M-Coupe (i farkkkking love them), anyway we were cruising down past the Ben Hur roundabout down towards the A46. Down the A46 sliproad he booted it full whack, and i was at this...

Sounds alright to me, very good in fact. The only negative they point out with the camera is the lack of auto-focus, instead replaced by 2 modes - close up & normal. Just reading though that indeed the white balance and general...
Personally im looking at the N80/N91 for my next phone, but until i feel the N91 in my palm I'm not sure if the size/weight is going to put me off of it.
Well can't upgrade until May, and my contract finishes 2nd June. Figured if i can get myself a nice new shiny K750i then i can give that to my girlfriend when i upgrade as her PAYG phone is nasty.
Just posing the question really to people who perhaps have had similar experience in the past.
Right, I've been paying £5.99 for the last 11 months on my contract for insurance against loss/theft/accidental damage on my K750i. Now after 11 months my phone is a little past its best and am looking at the possibility of what will happen if i somehow manage to lose the phone, but subsequently...
Hm all good information, currently im on the O2 200min + 150 text @ £30, but if they don't put me on that O2 750 tariff then i'll just tell them i'll be going to t-mobile and leave.
Having said that i also want a new N80/N91 which might decrease my bargaining power? :(
Flext contracts look awesome at the moment, unfortunately i can't request my PAC from O2 until May 2nd by which point the 25% off offer on Flext will have stopped i bet.
What deal did O2 sort you when you threatened to leave? Did they match the Flext tariff?
Personally, from a rolling start i think you'd be all over his back bumper up until 90mph odd, then i think the 172 loses a bit of poke. Are the S3 5speed or 6speed?
Eitherway, i'd think you'd have a fair chance of surprising him.
