You'll need an 8mm (3/8" old money) square drive fella, its a cooount to get out too so be careful you don't skin your knuckles. As long as your dipstick reads correct levels then 4.9L is fine as some will reside in the filter itself. Remember for your dipstick oyu need to be on level ground...

Probably just your arm mate, but seriously it might be a very very minor issue. Or it could be a big issues, take it to a reputable garage and ask them to check the push rods. Bent rod could be corrected easily, but if theres anything broken a new gearbox could be expensive :(
