Yes ;) With that gear your photos will undoubtedly be better, and I’m assuming your skills aren’t going to get worse. I’ve shot locations more than once with the same gear and got better photos the second time, it’s all practise :)

The shade and lighting on the building makes it appear HDR-like, I hate HDR too.

Yeah, I've seen some sunset/sunrise shots from there, very impressive stuff. You're at an advantage with your UWA too, I felt like I could do with wider than 18mm when I went the other week.

Love the Bridge shot A_Cro! That is a very common shot but because it’s at night and given the lovely constrasty look to it, it’s great! I tried this signature shot from the Quays but it doesn’t look good in the daytime imo, it looks too cluttered and it’s always busy.

I’ve bought quite a bit of stuff from Digital Rev. They are grey imports but you get a digital rev warranty with the product, for instance when there was a problem with my Sigma 50mm, they referred me to Sigma UK who (when provided with the right documents) fixed the lens free of charge.

Thanks Jon and imprezaworks. It wasn't ridiculously loud, but it does sound awesome! The way db's work there's a lot of difference between James's 94db and the 105db limit too so the GTR should be about ~103 or something I recon.
