That was his point, Wick :) JPG doesn’t make a huge difference in most shooting situations, I only shoot raw for things like Landscape that will need a some tweeking, so full frame is still advantageous in any file format.

The aforementioned 10-24 is a complete anomaly in the Tamron VC lineup as the others are fantastic.

What about your NEX-3 for a small tourist camera, Brazo? Or have you got rid of that?

I’d get the Tamrons, the 17-50 gives you that 2.8 constant aperture and the 70-300 gives you better performance than the Nikon version, it’s a no brainer for me.

Ahh right. Go for the trusty Nikon then. I’m guessing you can get fully refunded?

You can buy them separately, I did the same thing and bought a cheap one for my kit lens at first and it was fine tbh, go for it and see how you find it.

CPL’s are crucial for daytime car shots, they look so much better-the colour is deeper and the interior is revealed from beneath that glare from the sky. You can also get a cool rainbow effect in headlights sometimes which looks brilliant.

I’d go for the Sigma, Luke. The Sigma is supposed to be sharper and it’s around the same price.

Yeah admittedly I never use all 39 points on mine, especially since they're all packed together in the centre, but still, cameras are all about the specs bragging rights these days to market them. I don't see how this camera is an improvement over the 650D, and in sensor terms a 550D-c'mon Canon.

They're supposed to be okay, the sharpness is supposed to be a bit sloppy, I'd look at the aforementioned 17-55 f2.8 or the Tamron 24-70 F2.8
