First thing i would check is the TDC sensor, its located on top of the gearbox, picks up the timing, very common for not starting!! Search TDC on here and it will give you some more info!

It would overheat driving if the stat was stuck shut, start it on your dry and check if the fan comes in etc!

When its mapped it is going to be great for what it is!!! Felt really responsive when i drove it un-mapped!!!
