The chances of you rolling the thing are pretty remote. Hitting armco hard should be more of a concern. As for the physics, well it surely doesn't take that much brainpower to realise that lots of sideways momentum will contribute...i.e sliding. Keep it going forwards is my bit of advice.

I think 'slammin' purely for looks rather than performance gains is...well, lets just say im not a fan and leave it at that. Does the V6 really need to go that low? Does it benefit the handling? More importantly, does it really need it?

Reading that kinda backs up my thinking that keeping my Cup is a wise choice at the moment. Its all well and good upgrading to the new and improved 197 which is more refined and more comfy....but its heavier and ultimately thirsty, and im quite glad i can get 340 miles out of a tank at the...

I actually prefer the look of it at its standard height. Doesn't look right decked but thats that whole 'each to their own' thing i suppose.

I should let you out in mine Deb. I've driven Clares 182 quite alot and the Cup always feels quicker in comparison. Then again it feels quicker than FF 172's as well....must be a weight thing.;)

Ahh well in that case you are correct....no way they'd wanna waste that kinda cash. Im sure i heard recently that Porsche were very much still involved with VW and that they infact were the bigger company of the two. I could be completely wrong tho.

What you have to remember is Ferrari is owned by Fiat and therefore the Italian government pretty much. F1 is a moneypit and Ferrari doesn't really get a set budget. What they need they get. I can't see the VAG group ploughing that much money into it just for Porsche to try and prove a point...

I have an identical creaking with mine. Does it when the car is warm and the clutch has seen traffic jam action. Just one of those things.

Speedlines and Recaros possibly yes. A/C if you want to re-sell it to a softie but its not essential. Curtain airbags i'd leave off.

Speedlines - £175 Recaros - £850 Fogs or no fogs AC - £525 Curtain Airbags - £200 Glacier or Nimbus - £175...Racing Blue Standard Decals on the side i think.

I nearly ordered one this week but thought better of it. If i do order one it'll be next June now. If not i'll just spunk a load of money on the 172 instead.

Now thats one sexy car. Was never a fan of the Mk1 Vee but that shape is p**n in that colour.
