A lot of the JL stuff is overpriced though IMO (I have owned most of it!)
The Type X Alpine stuff is very good quality - have a look online for some reviews ;)
The high end JL stuff is very good though, but at that price, there is better stuff...
It's also much better quality mate - something the specs can't tell you
Good deal here:

How old is your N70? Some of the older examples need their firmware updating to work with 'non TomTom' GPS Receivers.
PM me if you need any help, I'm a dab hand at this lark now :)
Do you think I would be better MPG by going:
a) 10 miles motorway, then 10 miles on 'main' roads
b) 25 mile motorway run (M6, M42 though... which can be BUSY)
Thanks for the posts so far guys.
The MPG seems comparible to my Zetec-S Fiesta
Hey folks
I am looking to change cars in September, ideally to a Clio 172 or 182.
However, I have recently started a new job, which involves a 50 mile commute each day.
I was just wondering if anyone else on here does 12,000 miles year or more? If so, how does the Clio fare?
Lastly...
Very good post - interesting reading for me as a prospective 182 purchaser.
The other examples (LCR, FRS etc) cost more than £10k for a decent one, so I guess this is why they weren't on his list...?
The way that the Megs site works is that when a product is simply out of stock, it disappears from the site
This happened a while back with NXT Shampoo.... they are still current and available... you local Halfords should sell a pack of 2 for £2.99 :)
They look awesome - which model are they? The Sportline?
What was the total cost including frames?
Is the colour of the Alcantara identical?
Cheers
Russ
Yes they are! :) I have Bluefin, uprated suspension and a cat back system on mine, and its great fun to drive, just not exactly 'fast'
Jon, I assume you are Jonathan... on ZSOC?
How does the RS Clio compare? I am looking to make the change in September when I have 1 years NCB....
Another thumbsup for the Water Magnet from me too....
Endurance Tyre Gel applied with a paint brush for your tyres....
Oh, and don't use your mitt anywhere near your wheels!! Get another mitt or a sponge. Also, remember to clean the walls of your tyres with a brush, before you dress them...
Well said Pecan
I have a Zetec-S and I must say the the Clio's gearbox is very poor in comparison. It has almost put me off buying one. The ZS feels more nimble as well IMHO
Ok, I currently own the following:
Diamond D5 1200.1 monoblock
Diamond D5 600.2 stereo amplifier
Diamond M6 10" Sub
JL VR525CS Components
Alpine 9831R HU
I don't have the components amped at the moment, so the 600.2 is not in use.
I am relaively happy with the overall sound, but...
My Fiesta ZS does 240 miles to £32, so I'm hoping the Clio isn't any worse... which it sounds like it isn't
Which is fookin sweet, given the considerable performance hike!!!
