I got my console from Woolies. Going to pop into my local one in a minute see what else they have in stock.
COD3 I'm playing on 360 though, I'd rather have the flash graphics for that one as it's not exactly an amazing game.
I really need another controller so I can thrash my misses at bowling.
You're spot on mate, I've just spent the last two hours stood in front of the TV in my pants playing Wii sports. My Zelda didn't arrive so will be with me Monday along with my classic controller. I can't decide what games to download now, there's too many greats already.
This was my first...
I reckon the Intel will come out on top this time. The AMD chips are old now by comparison.
Anyway, the results are in. Out of the box with no messing.
3D Mark 05 - 15284
3D Mark 06 - 9871
Not a bad score in 2006.
I've already put forward my idea for Wii games. As we own the Leisure Suit Larry license we should do a p**n game.
With the Wii remote you could do, upskirt photography, brushing against a breast/bum, w**king, bean flicking, nipple tweaking, breast rubbing and of course fisting. There's more...
Not when running the Unreal 3 editor.
I'm I.T. for Swordfish in Birmingham and Manchester, and also cover VU Ireland, Massive in Sweden and help out with a few of the other European sites. There's two of us here, and we've just taken on a lad in Manchester to ease the load and to stop me...
We've got about 60 staff in this site. Everyone has a new PC when they start a new project, so that's around every 3 years. RAM and video cards get upgraded over that time though.
I've been in a meeting. Almost done now. Busy with other stuff though, but I'll do it before the end of the day. Almost lunch time, time for a swift beer.
For reference the fastest PC in the office so far has been an Intel Core Duo Extreme X6800 with two Radeon X1900XTX. That benchmarked...
If I had gone Intel it would have been a Core 2 Duo Extreme. Because of what the machine is going to be doing I chose to spend the money saved on the CPU on the video card. Plus 95% of the machines we have here are AMD Athlon X2 or FX based so it means I've got loads of spare bits for them...
Well it's all together. It was a bit of a fight to get all the cables off the 900w Tagen PSU tucked away neatly, but it's done.
I can't believe the 8800GTX takes two power leads!!! Anyway, I'll power it up in the morning, I've had enough. I'm off home.
Chucked in one of those fatal1ty sound...
Distributed build software. Basically when a person compiles code it takes ages. With that installed any machine on the network can join in and uses and unused CPU performance to help out. It just makes it quicker.
It's no photoshop, they did that for testing. There were a couple of them parked up behind the factory. I think it was the 197 they tested under that shell.
There was also another car parked up wearing a Megane shell as cover. ;)
Actually I meant to say Renault Sport Twingo. I think the Modus in those shots was just being used for chassis testing under the Modus body.
Some of you have it right as to what they are showing people.
Your 360 won't use HDMI yet. I've got a component switch box for my DVD, 360 and Wii.
When I get Sky HD that will use the HDMI on the TV so I'll have to get an HDMI switch box should I get a PS3. If you can get a TV with two I would, there's not that many with two yet though.
This is the RAM. I paid a bit less with a trade discount though: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=472522 DDR2 with a latency that low is still very expensive.
It's just for demo'ing stuff really. I'll probably stick incredibuild on it too so when it's not doing...
We needed new PC for the boardroom so I decided I'd check a few quid out of my budget at it.
Asus M2N32 WS Pro motherboard.
AMD Athlon FX 62 CPU
2gb Corsair XMS DDR2 Dominator CAS 3 check out the cooling it comes with
Nvidia 8800GTX video card.
Nice Coolermaster aluminium praetorian case
