Doesn't that require a media centre PC?

It will only play wmv files from PC, and possibly some avi's, but it won't do anything else especially divx etc. It will play copy DVDs, I was suprised by that. I had Crank on mine the other night and it played no problem. I don't know about the HD DVD player doing so though.
