The idea of Coilovers is you can set them at O.E height if you wanted.....
Pro lines and Konis would be ideal, even though imo prolines wont alter the look of a cupped 182 in any way, might even raise the rear ;)
Indeed. Was (as said) a reason i cashed in on mine. Wanted something cheapish to run whilst i bought a house etc (although tarting up the cup is costing me £££:() The Cup is faster though, no question, and once i've sorted the paint/wheels ist done. cheap motoring ftw
Open the legs? ooo matron!:o
Is it worth it?!
Might weaken the mounts, if they need to be opened up? My money would be on some H&R's, just be patient :)
I run standard as i cant stand the booooooooooooom. Never heard a Yozza ( i believe its good) so cant comment. Standard is mint, makes the car 'normal'
Imo, best whip off the bump strip. Open the door and push the strip towards the back of the car. Trying to remove the badges on the car usually leads to failure (clips breaking) Once the strip is off, you can see gat at the clips much easier
6mm, then with the cack haned file/drill, how would you know the hole ended up enlarged to the right place? Might be too far left/right then all the measurements will be c**k eyed
If only it was so simple!
I averaged about 27mpg in mine, in the other 3 Mk2 RS's i've had, i get about 34mpg. Same roads/driving style. Only one way petrol will go too! Was one factor that made me sell up........
On BG you will need Menzerna Intensive polish, then refine with Final Finish......
Here was my very quick play with my PC when i got it. THat was a few passes with IP on a Sonus yellow pad, then FF on a white. Yes i did wash the top of the door down first!!!
The right side was the before...
Because thats what they are good at? (handling) Its a shame to compromise it? I hated spacers on my 197 as they ruined the handling. They lasted about a week!
Still, different strokes for different blokes eh
Meh i havent. I will at some point when i strap on the matched inlets i have. To stop the emissions light, plug the second downstream lambda hole up, then tape up the lambda under the car ;)
Being happy is the main thing. I've always used a local garage who are spot on (have the local BMW contract) so not tinpot. Now i wanted some work done on my cup, thought i'd try another place which i've worked at (sparkie) which seemed good. Picked it up last week, gutted tbh, its a good shade...
hmmmm. I've had 4 RS Clio's, 172 Cup, 182 Cup packed, 197, now back to a 172 Cup. Out of the 3 MK2's I've had, the Cups have a certain something. Think of it like transporting a fat mate. When he's in the car its performance is somewhat blunted, when he gets out, it goes 'feels' better. They...
