As I said in the other thread, I don’t have any experience of the Multicoated one, But the Single Coat one has worked a treat for me.

Yeah sure, Mine is a simple screw in filter, it works a treat, a lot of people get graduated ND’s and other filters that use a filter holder, but I just got a screw in for convenience :) This is the one I’ve got, the thread size is 52mm (kit lens thread size), but if you have need bigger there...

Stunning views from up there too! :) Thanks, I’d recommend a 10 Stop ND Filter, had a 3 stop before this one and you just can’t block enough light to get these exposures.

Yeah Of course, Sensors are quite delicate, and any mistake could completely ruin the camera, so I’ll make sure I’m clued up on it. I think I’ll get both, then I’m sorted for the future as well.

Yeah I just did a little research into that, I’ve gathered that the type 2 is for APS-C, so thats the one I’ll need.

Yeah definatly! A quick question, do you have to use the cleaning solution or can you just use the swab? because I’m not sure I trust myself with the cleaning solution

Thanks :) Glad I managed to recover the shot! and It did, I don’t fancy doing it for every long exposure I do, so I’m going to invest in one of those Gitzo’s Rocket Blowers and see if I can remove some of the dust, if that doesn’t work then its paying to get it done.

Cheers Dan, Just as I posted this I noticed the HORRIFIC amount of dust marks on the pic, I always make sure the sensor stays clean by taking appropriate measures when changing lenses, which is a real let down :( Its quite embarrassing the amount of dust on this photo, makes me look like a noob...

I’m with Luke on this one, Also I find the find the viewfinder too small on the D5100, when I had a play with a D7000 in Curry’s it was in a different world in terms of build quality and more advanced features; the 39 point AF points, more cross type focus points, magnesium alloy body, bigger...

It sure is, certainly not short of money in Cheshire! Cheers Nick! The grass just caught him out, ran slightly wide then was just bouncing along, you can see in the second photo of his off that the rear light cover is coming off from the bouncing!
